The Bow by Valentino

Valentino. Adored by many and rightfully so. He built an empire that captures sophistication and femininity. A design genius, his collections are amazingly crafted, rich, and beautifully orchestrated. But this post will not wax poetic about his clothing, but rather focus on his shoes. More specifically, those shoes with the iconic and signature bow detail, a truly Valentino trademark.

The Valentino Bow Pump - the minute you slip your foot into one of these beautifully crafted heels, your confidence soars and your outfit is elevated. There are several styles to choose from, all with the amazing bow detail. The sexiest and most fabulous would be the classic Mena Peep-Toe Sandal. This shoe is serious about style. The feminine silhouette looks perfect in silver or the new pearlized nappa hue. With a 4 1/2-inch covered heel, a side bow detail, a shockingly comfortable padded insole, and leather lining and sole, well this shoe has it all.

Or choose the Half d’Orsay Pump in oro vecchino (gold), black, or nude. The nude elongates legs and is instantly classic, never going out of fashion and making it a shoe to wear from season to season. With the bow detail on the

vamp, peep toe, covered platform, and the sexy 4 1/3-inch heel, this shoe is an eye catcher. The black patent leather bow peep toe is impressive as well. Truly classic and very ladylike, it goes with anything from the mundane to the ultra glam.

Here is a little history on the designer:

Valentino is a true craftsman of elegance, decadence, and sumptuous haute couture. He has ruled the fashion business since 1960 when he made his mark with luxurious gowns complete with amazing detailing and tasteful silhouettes. He created that simple yet sophisticated lace mini dress that Jacqueline Kennedy wore when she married Aristotle Onassis. He favors lace, chiffon, silk crepe, leather, and suede. Brides who think outside the box could wear one of his amazing gowns instead of a traditional wedding gown, and paired with one of his iconic bow pumps, well it could not get better than that!

An authority on sophistication and classic tailoring, he combines the delicate and the rich, making his clothing and accessories opulent yet approachable. High fashion that is not over the top, but rather truly sophisticated and stunning.

Not in Kansas anymore…..
