Tank Gown

The tank gown is simple in style and features a silhouette much like a tank top with wider straps. This shape is perfect for those with fuller figures. It is a great style for minimizing ample bust lines, quite flattering and comfortable. The wider straps are perfect for accentuating broad shoulders.

Fuller skirts or slimmer styles can be incorporated and necklines can vary. Simple scoop-neck or v-neck are particularly lovely. Fabrics such as organza, duchess satin, and skirts of tulle are wonderful options. Since this design is simple, embellishments are recommended, though not necessary. Accessorizing with brooches or bracelets can add a nice touch, but avoid necklaces in order not to compete with the wider straps and necklines. Tank gowns that feature a slightly dropped waistline are very becoming.

This style works well for both casual and formal affairs. A loft space would be a perfect place for this gown,

for it combines elegance with a pop of simplicity. Hairstyles can be both formal and informal as well. Let the venue, your accessories, and your imagination dictate the direction.

Tanks a lot….

I love this style: so flattering and timeless. What a pretty shot of a beautiful dress.
